There’s some great news for New Yorkers who want to travel to the City of Light on a budget. Jetblue has recently announced a new route from New York City to Paris, France.
The American low-cost airline is now offering travelers direct flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
The carrier is offering introductory fares starting at $499 roundtrip for Core seats and $2,499 for Mint—the airline’s business class.
JetBlue will operate this route daily, and it could be a great opportunity for frequent flyers to take advantage of the carrier’s new loyalty program.
Here’s what travelers need to know:
About The New Itinerary
Travelers will have a convenient schedule when traveling to France.
Flight #1407 from JFK to CDG departs at 5:09 pm from New York and arrives at 6:55 am Paris the next day.
Passengers can sleep during the flight —over 7 hours— and wake up in the morning right on time to admire the Eiffel Tower.
Flight #1408 from CDG to JFK departs at 8:55 am from Paris and arrives at 11:51 a.m. in New York the same day.
The new services will operate on the carrier’s Airbus A321, offering travelers 114 core seats and 24 special Mint seats.
This aircraft includes Fly-Fi and live television; travelers must bring their wired earphones to enjoy the free entertainment or buy headphones during the flight.

And just a few months ago, JetBlue updated its inflight menu and is now offering delicious eats.
For transatlantic flights —like the new New York to Paris service— core passengers will get to taste meals from the restaurant group Dig, and Mint passengers can try Italian cuisine variations from the Charlie Bird restaurant.
More About The Prices
The introductory prices will only be available for a limited time and are subject to availability.
Those interested in the introductory prices must book today, by the first of July, and must carefully revise the rules as multiple conditions —like including a Saturday night stay and traveling between specific dates depending on the travel class and the route— apply.
To get cheap prices, travelers might need a pinch of luck too.
According to a recent search on the official website, the lowest prices currently start at $258 one way.
Booking a round-trip Blue Basic ticket from August 8 till August 14 —the cheapest options during those days— showed a total of $855. This basic fare does not include a checked bag, seat selection, or priority boarding.
Those looking for a more luxurious experience can book a Mint seat, on the same dates, for $2,489.25.
A similar search from September 4 till September 14 showed better results, a total of $586.45 for the round trip in Core, with the opportunity to upgrade conditions to Blue class for $756.45, which includes a checked bag and free seat selection.
The same September itinerary costs $2,892.25 in Mint.
Other International Routes
Of course, this is not JetBlue’s first transatlantic route. The carrier recently also launched two new flights from New York and Boston to Amsterdam.
The introductory prices for Amsterdam started at $479, a similar price to the current sale.
Travelers can still find low fares —in September and from Boston, for example— starting at $257 one way.
From New York, JetBlue also has direct flights to London and other international destinations like Lima in Peru, Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, Bogotá in Colombia, San Jose in Costa Rica, Cancun in Mexico, and Caribbean destinations like Aruba, Santa Lucía, and the Dominican Republic.
Europe is always on American travelers’ minds, especially this summer, and these new routes will help globe trotters find the best options for their next Eurotrips.
Those who want to make sure to get the best prices can always use Google Flights to compare before purchasing and apply other strategies to score the best fares.
